You don't need a fancy camera or lots of fancy lights to do a really high quality photoshoot these days. Almost all modern phones have a great quality camera for you to use.
How to plan the shoot at home?
Honestly you should plan it out, everything will go so much smoother if you have an idea of how it's going to go. Start by deciding the time of day and location you're going to use. Now it will need to be a nice bright spot, but not direct sunlight, the ideal scenario is when it's a sunny day and the sun is behind a cloud.
Avoid the awkward bit
Next, browse Pinterest. Find some poses that you like the look of, show the family and get them to re-enact those pins. This is by far the easiest way to direct people without knowing what you are doing.
Your phone settings
You can make these photos even better by going into your camera settings and changing the photo quality to high fidelity. This makes a big difference in the quality and means if you get them printed they don't go blurry.
Keep the imperfect
A massive pet peeve of mine is when people delete all the 'rubbish' ones. People mid sneeze, one shoe off, cosy socks all over the floor. In my opinion, these are the ones that you come back to after a few years and have another giggle about. So don't miss out on embracing cringe memories, they're the best ones.
Feature our socks ;)
Bit of a cheeky one to finish off, but we love seeing real people enjoying our products. We're very proud of our range of socks, sweatshirts, bucket hats and all sorts. We would love to post and repost anything you'd like to share with us.
