How to be more organised

How to get organised for Christmas (Without stressing yourself out)

Christmas is magical, we all know that, but the planning can get quickly overwhelming. Christmas shopping, planning festive activities, choosing the exact right gift that says both I've thought about you and doesn't break the bank... it's easy for the most magical time of year to become a long list of jobs.

But with our help, you can say goodbye to stress! Don't worry, this isn't a blog about just buying our products and all your problems will go away (though that is true). I am going to give you some genuinely practical ideas and tricks to make your Christmas as enjoyable as it should be!

Start with a Planner.

Yes, those same planners we all had in school. They are actually one of the most useful things to have in the house. Something you can actually see, without having to check an app or rely on your notes on your phone.

You can section it off into all the important tasks that need to get done. That feeling of physically ticking off a task is a gift in itself!

  • Gift ideas
  • Budget
  • Cards and postage
  • Shopping!
  • Christmas dinner food
  • Decoration day!
  • Wrapping
  • Christmas Eve box
  • Christmas Jumper day
  • Relax knowing everything is sorted

Now I know I probably missed something. Every house has different traditions and priorities, so make your list personal to you. But make sure you add deadlines to them, or they will all jump out at you at once.

Make a savings plan/budget

One tip that has saved me many Christmas stresses is having a separate Christmas money pot that gets built up over the year. Every month putting £10/20 aside (however much you can afford). Not only that but making a budget and sticking to it. This makes that long pay break between Christmas and Jan far more manageable!

Make a Christmas Gift list

Yes, just like when you were a kid but slightly less selfish! This time you will be making a list of gifts for other people. Which in some ways is actually far more rewarding. Gifting someone that brand new pair of socks from their favourite TV show, and seeing the smile on their face can bring far more joy than receiving anything for yourself.

Do the shopping early!

This one is so satisfying. Believe me getting all the shopping done before December makes you feel so smug haha! Everyone is scrambling around and you're sat at home having got all the deals done. Also, considering Black Friday and Cyber Monday gives you such good discounts, it's well worth getting it all done over that weekend. (I know it's a sales/marketing campaign, but you can get some genuinely good deals).

Prep for Christmas Eve

Get your cameras charged, get breakfast prepped, lay out clothes and get some bin bags ready for wrapping paper!
If your family do Christmas Eve boxes (which they should) make sure they are ready to be opened with our socks and pyjamas so you have the most memorable of sleeps before the big day!

I hope you have enjoyed reading our blog today and that it has given you something to think about and maybe even helped make your Christmas that little bit more special.

We don't use Ai to write our blogs and they do take some time to write so we appreciate everyone who spends the time reading.
