PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie | Are you Ready?

With PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie set to release in the USA and Canada for September 29th, and in the UK for October 13th, we thought that gearing you up for its release would be a smart idea, especially considering how popular the show is, the trip to the cinema might be quite hectic!

So we have put together a range of useful tips for the family outing to the cinema along with a bit of a background about PAW Patrol and the movie, the cast of the film and more for you parents, so that you can enjoy the movie just a little bit extra. So, without further ado, let’s begin!

About PAW Patrol, a quick catch-up

As you may have seen your child glued to the screen when this show is on, PAW Patrol follows 10-year-old Ryder, and his band of pups! PAW Patrol are rescue dogs in training, each having their own unique personality and role in the team, inspire by real world jobs, for example, Marshall is a fire-fighter pup, and Rubble is a Construction worker pup!

The show is based in a place called Adventure Bay, with each episode showcasing trouble popping up and the crew finding a way to solve the issue and save the day!

Along the way the team meets new pups and other people who help out from time to time like Cap’n Turbot. For more on the characters, you can visit our Meet The Pups Blog!

About the Movie

Set to release on the 13th October, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is about a magical meteor which crash lands in adventure city. It gives the pups superpowers, transforming them into The Mighty Pups. Things take a turn for the worse when arch-rival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with a mad scientist in an attempt to steal the superpowers for themselves! The pups need to save adventure city by stopping the supervillains, with Skye needing to learn even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.

This shows that Skye will be a key part in the story and will teach a meaningful lesson about believing in yourself throughout the movie.

Tips for the best cinema experience

Timing

For the best experience its best not to choose a screening which clashes with your kid’s usual routine. For instance, making sure that the film doesn’t run past you kid’s bedtime, as this can make them tired and not enjoy the experience as much, or they could have a burst of energy making getting home just that little bit more difficult.

Snacks

Parents, we all know cinema snacks are expensive, but against popular belief you can bring your own! You just need to make sure that you don’t bring hot, or strong smelling foods, and no alcohol either!

We recommend you have a quick look at the response given by the cinema you are going to about the question, but otherwise load up on some of your kid’s favourite snacks and have a blast! Just be careful with the sugar!

Bathroom first!

Simple yet sometimes overlooked, make sure your kids go to the bathroom, as there is nothing worse than that tap on the shoulder saying they need to go pee! To also help this keep the drinks small, its easy to gulp down a Pepsi, or fruit shoot way to quickly!

Bring cosy Jackets/Blankets
It can sometimes get cold in the cinema, and there’s nothing worse than trying to sit still and stay interested in the movie when your shivering and have goosebumps! Keep an eye out for restlessness and ask your child if they need their jacket!

Keeping engaged

During the movie keep an eye out to see if your kid is showing signs of boredom. Just quietly ask them if they are enjoying the movie, after all its for them to enjoy. If not you can always ask them if they would like to move on. There's no harm in this, as they shouldn’t feel pressured into watching something they don’t want to.
